The Col du Lautaret is a magical place where dreams come true. Located in the French Alps next to the Serre-chevalier ski resort, this spot has so much to offer. From the majestic views on the big mountains to great tourist activities. We have been doing snowkite camps for many years and we know all the best places to stay and go. Snowkiting is so much fun, you only need 7 knots to get riding uphill and you can free ride back down or fly! Then retreat to a beautiful modern French chalet where you can relax, eat and meet new friends. Take your riding to the next level.

The Spot

Super Kite Day work closely with Kite Legende snowkite school. If this is your first time to the Lautaret pass it is highly recommended to have a guide for your first sesh so you get the maximum out of your time on the snow. Having someone help you select a good spot and set up your kite can be priceless.

Book with us

SKD snowkite camps run every year some starting in December and ending in February. The season starts in February but the Lautaret pass has very reliable snowfall before and after the season starts. So you can have snow from October to April.

Where to ride

Once you arrive at the kitecamp house you will be shown to your room and given a tour of the house. The Riders meeting will be arranged on the first day. From then you are free to explore the spot. The Lautaret offers many locations to ride from beginner to expert. We park next to the road and set up our kites and off we go. The 'Hotel des Glaciers' is giving SKD guests 10% discount on food/drinks and access to toilets and free WiFi on the spot.
